Uncle Mike’s Ramblings: Spelling

“I had to help my Uncle Jack off a horse.”

“I had to help my uncle jack off a horse.”

The same sentence, with a minor spelling change, can express two drastically different ideas. In the first sentence, you’re simply helping you mother or father’s brother off of a horse. In the second, you’re engaging in bestiality and a really weird version of incest. The only difference is a pair of capital letters. That’s the line between being an attentive nephew and being a creepy guy with a bottle of Jergen’s. (more…)

SWF: Equal Opportunity Employer

SWF Chairman Matthew Martin has passed along a message. He wants to now be known as an “Equal Opportunity Employer”. What does this mean exactly? Taking average rps and moving them to the next level Part 1 (Evaluation)

First and foremost let me just say that there is no set in stone way to try to take your game to the next level and this is not a process that is going to be overnight. This is something that you’re going to have to dedicate yourself to try and do. You might not see instant results from trying to make your rps better but if you continue and persist I can almost guarantee you that you will succeed. Uncle Mike’s Ramblings: The Death of Geocities

In early May, it was announced that Yahoo will quit offering their free Geocities sites. Just another example of downsizing and eliminating something that’s not a money-maker. Car companies are doing it, IT companies are doing it, and now Yahoo is doing the same thing. Cutting a free service (that doesn’t bring in much money via ads anymore) seems like a logical business decision. (more…)
